Volunteers assist with Zoo fundraising events such as
Breakfast with the Animals, ZooToDo, Ice Cream Zoofari

selling raffle tickets, checking in vendors or event cleanup.
For fundraising events we prefer to work with groups represented
by one contact person, but individuals can be taken as needed.
Clerical Support Volunteer
Volunteers assist Zoo staff with answering phones, copying, filing
and helping with mailings.
Animal Care Assistant
Volunteers work with the animal staff to prepare food and
maintain exhibits.
Horticulture Assistant
Volunteers assist the horticulture department with the care
and maintenance of the grounds.
Zoolynx Docent
Docents act as ambassadors
of the Zoo and form the core of our educational volunteers.
Training and uniform required. Our next docent training class begins September 5, 2008.
If you are interested in becoming a Docent, call our Volunteer Coordinator
at 559-498-5920 for more information or to apply for the fall 2008 training class. Deadline to apply
for the fall 2008 class is August 13, 2008.
